About OG Toolser
OG Toolser builds free, no-signup calculators and converters for home improvement, Islamic finance and calendar conversion, developer data formats, academic grading, everyday questions, and document conversion. Every tool runs in your browser and shows a result the moment you finish typing.
What OG Toolser does
Each tool on this site targets one specific, well-defined calculation or conversion — such as converting CGPA to a percentage, working out tile quantities with waste allowance, or calculating zakat against the nisab. We'd rather maintain a smaller set of tools that work correctly than a large set we can't stand behind.
How we choose calculator formulas
Where a calculation has one broadly accepted method — like alcohol by volume from gravity readings, or the AKC's size-adjusted dog-age model — we use that method and document the formula on the tool's page. Where methods genuinely differ by institution or school of thought (grade-to-percentage conversions, zakat nisab basis), we say so explicitly instead of picking one silently, and where possible we let you choose the method or enter your own multiplier. We don't invent formulas or present a single approach as universally official when it isn't.
How tools are tested
Before a calculator is published, its formula is checked against hand-worked examples and, where one exists, a documented reference method (e.g. the standard homebrew ABV formula, the sitemaps.org protocol for the sitemap validator, or fast-xml-parser's documented conversion convention for the XML/JSON tools). Converters and parsers are checked against edge cases — empty input, malformed input, repeated elements, multi-document files — so errors are reported clearly instead of failing silently. This is manual engineering review, not a third-party audit or a formal QA program.
Editorial and review policy
Tool pages and guides are written and maintained by the OG Toolser Editorial Team. We don't publish a named personal byline because the site isn't run by a single individual, and we won't invent one. Pages that touch religious, financial, or academic guidance (zakat, dog age, grade conversions) carry a visible "last reviewed" date and a disclaimer distinguishing the calculation from professional, scholarly, or veterinary advice — see each tool's FAQ and footer note for specifics and sources.
Correction and update policy
If a formula, conversion, or piece of copy is wrong, we fix it — corrections take priority over new features. Content is revisited when we become aware of an error, a source changes (e.g. an updated nisab convention or a new grading-scale rule from a university), or a user reports a problem. We only change a page's "last reviewed" date when the underlying content was meaningfully updated, not on a fixed schedule.
How to report an error
Spotted a wrong result, a broken link, or an outdated figure? Tell us on thecontact page with the tool name and the input you used — we read every report.
Privacy approach
Every calculator and converter processes your input locally in your browser; we don't operate a backend that receives what you type or upload. See thePrivacy Policy for the full detail, including analytics and advertising.
